My stay at Two Sandals was pleasant overall. The location on a hill provided a quiet atmosphere and impressive views, but the walk to Red Hook was somewhat tricky. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the staff was incredibly helpful. I did notice a couple of minor drawbacks, like the lack of a bathroom door in my suite and some steps that could be challenging for those with mobility issues.

The Newport suite was spacious with a full kitchen and a comfy king bed. I really appreciated the porch with a swing and the stocked mini fridge.

It's only a 10-minute walk to Red Hook for ferry access, but be careful of the perilous parts of the walk. The views from the hotel are amazing.

My stay at Two Sandals was a mixed experience. I truly appreciated the convenient location near Red Hook and the cleanliness of the room, but I was disappointed by the lack of privacy and the industrial feel of the space. The noise from the surrounding area and poor bathroom lighting really detracted from my overall experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean, but it felt very industrial and lacked warmth. The shower handle fell off right away, and the lighting was insufficient, especially in the bathroom.
Service

The manager wasn't very helpful during check-in, as he preferred natural light and left me waiting for assistance. Though a woman eventually completed the paperwork, the initial impression was poor.
Location
7.0
The location was excellent for accessing shops and restaurants in Red Hook, but the views were somewhat obstructed and not as tranquil as expected.
Dining

Breakfast was simple, which I appreciated, but the coffee setup was inconvenient, making me avoid it altogether.
Facilities

The accommodations included a large industrial table and a dirty stove, making it feel less like a relaxing getaway and more like a functional space.

My stay at Two Sandals had its ups and downs. The room I had was clean and spacious, but it lacked a door to the toilet area, which was a bit awkward. The service was friendly, and I appreciated the delicious scones provided when I left early. However, the noise from the surroundings and the conditions of the infrastructure were disappointing.

The location had potential with a nice restaurant nearby, but the noise from the street and heavy machinery made it hard to relax.

I didn't get to experience the dining service fully, but the scones I received were tasty and made for a great on-the-go breakfast.

The facilities were not as expected; the bathrooms had issues, and the overall aesthetic felt unfinished and cold.

My stay at Two Sandals was wonderful. from the warm welcome by Helen and June to the comfort of my room. I appreciated the cleanliness and the beautiful view from the balcony. However, the bathroom could have used a door for added privacy, which was a bit of a downside.

My stay at Two Sandals was a mixed bag. On one hand, the hospitality from Helen was fantastic, and the breakfast was quite nice. But, I was disappointed with some aspects like the view being overshadowed by a water treatment plant and some furniture that needs updating.

Rooms

I stayed in the Newport unit, which was spacious and clean, but the furnishings felt outdated and the kitchen equipment was less than ideal. The A/C system struggled to cool the place adequately, leaving some areas uncomfortably warm.

Helen, our host, was very gracious and knowledgeable, making us feel welcomed. However, the check-in process was a bit off-putting when I was asked to fill forms in poor lighting.
Location

The location is convenient to Red Hook restaurants and the beach, but the view was heavily impacted by the nearby water treatment plant and noisy surroundings.

I enjoyed breakfast on one morning, but it would have been great to have more dining options available on-site. The overall experience was nice, but I expected a bit more.
Facilities

The hotel offers great services like tours and a paid airport shuttle, but the overall condition of some facilities, especially related to parking, could use improvement.
