The hotel is housed in a historic structure dating back to 1940, previously owned by a traditional German settler family. This architectural gem has been tastefully redesigned using native Patagonian woods, including alerce and ulmo, preserving its cultural essence. Its restoration honors Puerto Varas's architectural heritage while delivering contemporary amenities.

Casa Kalfu is operated by owners Carmen García Cambiaso and Horacio Bovolo, who bring over 40 years of hospitality experience to the hotel.
