My stay at the Orrington for a family event Memorial Day Weekend was awesome. The hotel is very convenient, close to everything we needed, and in the welcoming and friendly college Evanston neighborhood in Chicago. The rooms were above average, right for the price, but not fancy, with a few minor issues like being near a lot of AC units. The location is why I chose it. The buffet at Frieda's across the street was very unremarkable and not healthy.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The location is fantastic, being just a stone's throw away from the lakeside beach park and right in the heart of downtown Evanston. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although I wish there was more space for toiletries in the bathrooms. The service was top-notch, especially with Natali and the entire hotel staff being incredibly helpful and efficient. However, the breakfast options were a bit limited, and the Bahama shutters in the room didn't block out the early morning light as much as I would have liked.
