Welcome to Hotel Makaaba Eco-Boutique – Bacalar

The hotel had a mixed experience with some positives like a comfortable stay but also drawbacks such as poor soundproofing preventing relaxation. The automatic lights in the room were convenient, yet the absence of a bedside lamp made reading challenging.

The hotel is in a perfect location, just a 2-minute walk to the lagoon and some fantastic restaurants. While the room was comfortable and simple, the bed being up some uncomfortable steps made it less than ideal. The service was nice and polite, but could have been more welcoming. The dining experience, especially breakfast, was delicious. Overall, a superb location with some room for improvement in service and room layout.

I loved my stay at the hotel! The location was perfect, just a 2-minute walk to the laguna and some great restaurants. The rooms, though small, had a cozy touch with personal hammocks, but the soundproofing could be better. The service was incredibly helpful and kind, offering a range of amenities like housekeeping, laundry, welcome drinks, and tour assistance. However, the constant noise from construction was a downside. The dining experience was delightful, offering fresh and delicious meals. Overall, a mixed experience with great location and service but noisy rooms.
