Reviews and Ratings
Although my booking turned out to be nonrefundable and I had a bit of a surprise with the room overlooking a rear laneway, not having any nice view, and lacking comfortable seating, the hotel's service truly stood out with their efforts to provide a twin room when they noticed we had a young baby. The location, just a few meters from St Kilda beach, was perfect for exploring the area's nightlife and attractions, even though the immediate surroundings felt a bit unsafe due to the presence of homeless people and drug addicts. The dining experience was decent, and the facilities were satisfactory overall.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was great, right in the heart of St Kilda and close to all the action, but the room fell short of expectations with its dated decor and lack of proper amenities. Parking was a hassle and came at an extra cost, and the ambiance felt like a blast from the past with traces of its historical adult film connections. On the bright side, the service was surprisingly good and the dining options were a delight.
Despite the location being near all the attractions of St Kilda, which was fabulous, the room stank of cigarette smoke most of the night. Although it was advertised as having a disability bathroom, I found it pointless. The service, while helpful and friendly, had some issues like being chased after on the way to the lift for a chat which seemed unprofessional. The dining experience was a lovely change from usual venues, but the food quality was average, and the value was poor. The location was excellent, close to the St Kilda restaurant strip, despite the proximity of the pub next door.
