parking overchargeno follow-up
The parking situation was not ideal. the hotel advertised a partnership with a nearby parking garage at a rate of $39 plus tax. i parked there and the staff confirmed the partnership. I even had my voucher stamped. however, the garage charged me around 20-25% more than the advertised rate and claimed they had no partnership with the hotel, i did not like this. the front desk offered no real solution and failed to follow up, even after i contacted them again. it's not a Great resolution.

the location is really convenient. it is close to grand central station! the complimentary coffee and tea on the 27th floor were a plus.
the check-in process took a long time. i had to wait about half an hour after the scheduled check-in time for my room to be checked by housekeeping? the outside area didn't feel very inviting! shady people were lingering near the door.
