underwhelming stay despite location

train station proximitydisruptive trainlacking service
the hotel's proximity to the train station was indeed convenient.
I found the service to be lacking. I expected more attentiveness and assistance from the staff, particularly given the price point. the constant train noise was disruptive, starting early each morning.

historical aspectconvenient locationwide varietysmall gymexcessive attentivenesscrowded bar
i enjoyed the historical aspect of this hotel. the location within the station was very convenient. the breakfast buffet was also a highlight and offered a wide variety of choices.
the gym was smaller than i anticipated. i found the attentiveness of the staff in the gym to be a little excessive. the bar area was often crowded, sometimes creating a queue to enter.

amazing stay at a iconic hotel!

helpful portersmooth navigationdelivered bagsexcellent breakfast
The hotel porter waited outside my narita express carriage upon arrival. This was helpful for navigating the station with bags. i left my heavier bags at the hotel while i toured hiroshima and kyoto. when i returned for my final night, my bags had already been delivered to my room! next morning, a petite female porter wheeled my 2 suitcases to my narita express carriage for a 7am departure with breakfast boxes!!!
The minibar fridge fell short of my expectations. There weren't many non-alcoholic drinks or milk to make a cup of tea with unfortunately.
Location
10/10
the hotel is conveniently located at the station. nearby, level 5 of the shin-marunouchi building provides many dining options. this proximity enhanced my stay, allowing quick access to transport and diverse culinary experiences.
