Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna Helsinki, a 4-star functionalist masterpiece completed in 1952 for the Olympics, stands in Kluuvi, featuring Finnish design shops and department stores like the art deco Stockmann.

Vaakuna's refurbished rooms feature the original armchairs designed by Erkki Huttunen and the original lighting designed by Paavo Tynell. The spacious Superior King includes a luxurious 200-cm-wide king size bed and a fold-down extra bed. Family suites can accommodate up to 7 guests with separate bedrooms.
