amazing staff peaceful garden small room broken elevator
the STAFF was AMAZING and SO kind i loved that the castle isn't BUSY at all even though it's beautiful its galleries and gardens OFFERED ME so much art and peace i didn't expect that
the STANDARD rooms are REALLY small i could barely put MY BAG anywhere also the elevator broke WHILE we were there this HAPPENED a lot and i had to CLIMB many steps

The location was special. The views from my room were expansive. I also enjoyed the complimentary tickets. They granted me access to explore the castle. I appreciated the history. The breakfast was good. It included many fresh options.
The standard room was very small. There was barely any clearance at the base of the bed. I also found that there was nowhere to put a large bag. The elevator failed . This meant I had to hike many steps in the heat. The lack of a shuttle service into town was disappointing. This would have been helpful.

a magical experience!
sweet item variety historic character delicious food lovely seating
the breakfast was AMAZING!!! there was a wide variety of savory and sweet items. the staff was friendly and helpful, which i appreciate. the on-site dinner restaurant was a definite highlight. i managed to get a reservation and the tasting menus were very nice!
i did have to walk down some stone stairs and cobblestone paths, so uneven surfaces are everywhere. a lift takes you part of the way up, but it's something to keep in mind.

the hotel is located in a magical historical setting with amazing views. the walk into the town is short. it is across a historic stone causeway, which adds to the charm of the location.

mixed feelings about the stay
limited selection elevator breakdown
the staff was friendly enough.
The breakfast was certainly repetitive. i saw the same items every morning, and the selection seemed limited for the price. also, the room was quite small. Hardly any space to move around. We had to climb so many steps. that was unexpected.
