The hotel rooms were beautifully decorated and had fireplaces, but unfortunately, they were not soundproof, causing noise from neighboring rooms to be a disturbance. On the bright side, the rooms were equipped with all the bells and whistles, including two turn-down services a day, and offered a picturesque view of black swans outside the window. The location was peaceful and intimate, just outside Rotorua, providing a relaxing retreat away from the city's hustle and bustle.
