The hotel had mixed experiences, with the rooms being clean but a bit musty while the service was exceptional. The location offered tranquility but lacked some extra comforts. The dining was hit-and-miss, and the facilities were satisfactory.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful! The rooms were spotless with a gorgeous view, a huge closet, and a handy mini-refrigerator. They were enormous and beautifully appointed. The service was top-notch, with the staff being very accommodating and engaging without being intrusive. Special thanks to Greg and Jeremy for their friendly approach. The location was peaceful and convenient without being too close to the town center hustle, offering a wonderful lounge, open fireplace, and comfortable old-style chairs. The dining experience, however, was not impressive for the money paid, lacking those extra little touches expected from an expensive place. Overall, a great setting and a good value for a relaxing getaway weekend.

Nestled amidst woodland with serene lake views, the setting was truly picturesque. The communal areas like living rooms, kitchen, and library added a cozy touch to our experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms at this hotel; they were much better than other 'superior' rooms I've stayed in with similar star ratings. My room was large with its own private veranda, all very clean and beautifully furnished. The styling may be a bit 'twee' by today's standards, but the space was very comfortable and pleasant, adjoining a large lounge area and a verandah overlooking the lake.
