Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were nice and clean, but dealing with the noise from young teens above was a downside. The service was professional and responsive, although lacking attentiveness in some instances. The location was perfect, tucked in the pine trees but also conveniently close to the ski resorts. The dining experience was nice with many options, yet there might be room for improvement. Overall, a good stay with some room for enhancement.
My stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were very stuffy with no A/C, making it a sweaty and uncomfortable night. However, the room did have some amenities like coffee and tea, a microwave, and a small refrigerator that were convenient. The location was convenient to everything, surrounded by pine trees and quiet neighborhoods, but getting onto the patio was a bit tricky. The dining experience was truly exceptional with fresh breakfast made every morning. The service was alright, except for one stressed woman at the front desk night shift who was a bit abrupt. Overall, it was a decent stay with some ups and downs.
This hotel is a fantastic choice for a weekend getaway in Big Bear. The rooms are beautifully decorated with period furnishings, although it was quite hot upon arrival. The service may need some improvement, as there were instances of staff speaking loudly in Spanish, which was a bit bothersome. The location is ideal for enjoying the snow activities at Bear Mountain or Snow Summit, with convenient access to the lake and nearby attractions. The dining experience provided tasty made-to-order breakfast options, but the need to eat outside and dispose of our own order was a downside.
