Hotel Havana, a four-star boutique hotel located on a quiet stretch of San Antonio's River Walk known as the Museum Reach, was opened in 1914 by local grocer Edward Franz Melcher with a vision to recreate the tropical allure of its Caribbean namesake. The charming combination of Mediterranean Revival architecture, rich Spanish Colonial history, and calm Caribbean temperament has made Havana one of the most authentic places to stay in San Antonio.

Unique Historic Rooms

No two of Hotel Havana's unique guest rooms are exactly alike, featuring original Bastrop Pine floors, antique furniture, Turkish rugs, and vintage Cuban artwork. The rooms include SMEG refrigerators with amply stocked minibars, custom supersoft serape robes, and heavyweight linen bedcovers. Ocho, the hotel's glass-enclosed restaurant situated along the River Walk, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks. The restaurant has created a menu rooted in the hotel's pan-Latin cultural influences from Mexico, Cuba, and Texas. Havana Bar offers cocktails in a dimly candlelit basement setting suitable for intimate meetings and secret rendezvous.
