i found the room i was given a bit tired. there were coffee marks on the wallpaper. also, the curtains had some noticeable stains.

The buffet lunch at the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast at the Clubroom was exquisite. The staff were polite. My room was very comfortable.
The room was slightly small. The club lounge remained closed. This was a disappointment. The Melba restaurant served buffet dinner only.

The location WAS convenient for accessing nearby attractions.
My room had a musty smell, quite unpleasant. This was rather disappointing. I also noticed opened milk in the fridge upon arrival, a clear sign of inadequate attention to detail from housekeeping. The hotel REALLY needs to address these issues.

My room offered great views of the river and the nearby station. The location was convenient, just across the river from the city center. I found the proximity to the National Gallery of Victoria especially handy. Service was prompt.
I noticed some wear and tear. The flush in my toilet stuck often. Water trickled until I manually unstuck it, a minor inconvenience for an expensive hotel.
