fantastic boutique stay
varied menu convenient access
the hotel features a breakfast service with a varied menu. i had convenient access to nearby shops and restaurants. i also found the staff to be friendly, providing helpful recommendations . i appreciated the homely feel that set it apart from larger hotel chains.
i found that the outside furniture was inaccessible after 5 pm which limited my ability to enjoy the outdoor spaces later in the evening. this restriction meant i had to spend my evenings indoors earlier than i would have liked. more flexible access would improve the experience.

mixed feelings about this place
monotonous breakfast room security
I had mixed feelings about my stay. the breakfast menu never changed. It got old fast. also, we had a security issue with our room and talked to the manager about it. i won't share the details, but it really hurt our experience..

really good lodging
owner hospitality homemade biscuits respectful staff
gerald, the owner, greeted us warmly. he gave helpful information. there was a tea room each afternoon with homemade biscuits. two good teas were served. breakfast was made to order. the staff were courteous.
bins were not emptied. bath robes were absent. slippers were also not available. i missed having these items.

the superior queen room offered a comfortable space with thoughtful design. the bed was very comfortable. i noticed that linens were high quality. lighting fixtures added to the room ambiance. the bathroom featured premium toiletries.
