I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms in the courtyard outbuilding were clean and comfortable, but it did get quite hot at night even with the window open. The service was excellent, with friendly and accommodating staff. The location was central, offering easy access to the riverside and local walks. The dining experience was decent, with a fresh fruit choice for breakfast, but limited butter availability. Overall, a cozy place with some minor room temperature issues.

The central location was great, just a short walk to the riverside with good bar service. Easy access to Topsham shops, restaurants, and transportation hubs.

The breakfast included an excellent cooked meal, but there was only flora spread available instead of butter.

The hotel facilities were good, above a restaurant with access to an apartment through the pub.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfy, providing a great night's sleep even during a storm. The service was friendly and accommodating, although at times a bit understaffed. The location was superb, right in the heart of Topsham with beautiful walks nearby. The dining experience was lovely, especially the variety of drinks available. Overall, a great value for money.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms are great in size, with comfortable beds and pillows for a restful sleep despite some noise from outdoor drinkers. A slight incident at 4am didn't disturb the comfort of the room.
Service
9.0
The staff were very obliging, allowing me to enjoy breakfast from 7 am and creating a relaxed environment for my stay. The service was top-notch, even though there seemed to be only one waiter managing everything.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the riverside and charming local walks right at the doorstep. The historical surroundings and proximity to the tidal river add to its charm.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was wonderful, with a great selection of beers, wines, and soft drinks. The absence of breakfast included and parking might have been a downside, but the variety of beverages made up for it.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were good, and I particularly loved the beer on tap. However, an improvement in dining options would make the experience even better.

6.2/10

The hotel had some drawbacks, like noise from both staff and guests at odd hours, but the service was generally helpful and pleasant. The location was convenient for exploring the village, although it could get noisy being next to the pub beer garden. The dining experience was adequate, and the facilities were acceptable.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite noisy, especially with someone trying to get into another room at 4 am. The view overlooking the parking area was disappointing, and the noise from the bar downstairs could be heard late into the night.
Service
7.0
The service was generally helpful and efficient, but there were some issues with the parking situation. The staff were pleasant and polite overall, making the stay more enjoyable.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location was convenient for strolling around the village and exploring Topsham. However, being on the ground floor next to the pub's beer garden made it noisy at times.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was adequate, allowing us to eat a bit earlier due to a graduation event the next morning. The smoked guinea fowl was a decent choice.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel's facilities were satisfactory, meeting the basic needs for a short stay.
