The Archangel is situated in a beautifully restored, central building, making it easy to explore the independent shops of Catherine Hill. Guests often enjoy the spacious and comfortable rooms, some featuring a standing bathtub perfect for watching TV. Breakfast is generally excellent with plenty of choice, though some guests have experienced longer than expected wait times. The Bramley products are a frequently mentioned favourite.

A Cozy NYE Escape

cute staff unique character ideal location
My partner and I found the staff cute. Our room boasted unique character plus a freestanding bath with complimentary bubble bath. The location is ideal for exploring nearby attractions like the Cheese and Grain.
The narrow steps leading up to our room may not be suitable with disabilities. I think the hotel should add a note to the room information about this matter.

Mixed feelings about this stay

limited buffet lukewarm coffee
the room, comfort double room, was certainly not soundproofed. i heard every footstep from the floor above. also, the promised breakfast buffet turned out to be rather limited with sad pastries and lukewarm coffee. not quite the culinary experience i was anticipating. it was a letdown, to say the least.
