Reviews and Ratings
The hotel feels like a travel back in time with its 4.5m ceiling, gorgeous doors, and interior; however, thin walls expose rooms to noise from passing cars with high volume music. The service, especially with decorations, offers helpful alternative solutions, and the staff is great. The location is convenient with reserved parking spots, although the nearby night club and pub can be loud. Dining, despite being complimentary, may lack variety and use disposable plates. Overall, the hotel provides a unique historical experience but faces challenges with noise levels and dining options.
I had a mixed experience at Hotel Belgica. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, but the noise from the main road made it hard to relax in the morning. The shared balcony was a nice touch, though. The service was top-notch, with the staff going out of their way to accommodate us. The central location was great for exploring the downtown area, especially during Carnevale, but the nearby graffiti and loud music were off-putting. The dining was basic, offering only juice, coffee, and muffins in the morning. Despite some drawbacks, the hotel's excellent location remains its standout feature.
My stay at Hotel Belgica was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious and characteristic, with ultra-comfortable beds, but they felt dated and reminiscent of the 80s. The hotel's shared patio was a nice touch, though. The service was top-notch, with extremely friendly staff who even helped me when I lost a memory card during cleaning. The hotel's location was excellent for exploring Ponce but suffered from mosquitoes and an unpleasant shower facility. While the dining options nearby were convenient, the hotel's own dining experience was subpar. Overall, it's a hotel with unique charm but with some areas that need improvement.
