The staff offered a VERY warm welcome. The public areas showed a traditional design. A complementary decanter of port was a nice touch in my room. I took advantage of free coffee and pastries. Restaurants were plentiful nearby.

The reception staff are helpful. They answered my questions promptly. The hotel features amazing furniture and paintings. The terrace overlooks the riverside (it's quite a view).
The breakfast area did not accommodate all the guests. It felt a bit crowded. The hotel sits across from what seemed an abandoned building. This took away a bit from the visual experience.

The breakfast area seemed small. Our group experienced difficulty finding seating together, they set us up elsewhere. this arrangement required us to walk back to the main breakfast area for food. i found this inconvenient and it slightly detracted from the dining experience. there was no desk in the room, this absence made it difficult to work comfortably.
