superb stay at the giudecca island

the hotel was modern , with a recent refurbishment of the rooms and lobby. i found a complimentary bottle of champagne upon arrival , a very nice touch for my honeymoon. the staff were very helpful , especially the knowledgeable concierge , and the restaurant staff were fantastic.
the front desk staff did not offer a slightly later check-out , even when the shower's water pressure was weak.

the breakfast had a large variety of options to choose from , and it was very tasty. i especially enjoyed the rooftop bar , with its welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. the food served at the restaurants was overall very nice , too.

The hotel was modern. I especially liked the fresh refurbishment of the rooms. We received a complimentary champagne on arrival. I found the staff helpful. Concierge knew everything. The bar staff was fantastic. Food was really nice. The rooftop bar was great. I liked the rooftop swimming pool and sun beds a lot.
The executive lounge lacked food variety. The atmosphere was not great.

the breakfast offered a huge selection.
the air conditioning would shut off automatically. i woke up sweating one night because the ac had shut off in 90 degree weather. the fragrance sticks smelled bad, and i wonder if it was hiding mildew. the plumbing stinks and would bubble when i showered.

the rooms WERE nice and well appointed. room service is very good, though more expensive than most hotels IN italy.
The hvac for the room HAD a significant issue. the room HAS a motion sensor, SO the system shuts off when you stop moving. the food at the restaurants WAS good. portion sizes were small.

the pool was a nightmare. you had to book sun slots because there were too many people, so it wasn't family-friendly at all.
