Staying in the Opium Room was a delightful experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with heritage-style furniture. Daily snacks and juice in the fridge were a nice touch. The location is perfect for exploring Georgetown and other parts of Penang, being right in the center and within walking distance of many attractions. The service from Chan, Vanessa, and Sasha was excellent, offering valuable suggestions to make my stay memorable. The dining options were delicious and plentiful, with the flexibility to order from local street vendors. However, the noise from the street could be a downside, and the lack of common spaces apart from a pseudo library was a minor inconvenience.
