Really good Experience at a Grand Hotel
convenient location friendly staff spacious room historical architecture
The location proved convenient for exploring nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful (i appreciated their attention). The room was spacious and well kept. I found the hotel's historical architecture very excellent.
The coffee service during breakfast seemed slightly disorganized on the first couple of mornings, with a bit of a delay in receiving our orders.

The room featured a heated toilet seat, a super feature I appreciated. The traditional decor added a unique touch to the overall ambiance. It was very elegant. The beds were comfortable, assuring good sleep.

The staff provided warm hospitality, especially in the Straits Club, and i liked their all the food and drinks that were available (the snacks were awesome). A staff member gave excellent advice on visiting a nearby park. Their service enhanced the visit.

The front desk super nice team and friendly. the service was prompt when i had a question. The team really knew their stuff. also, the bedding in my straits club quay room was high quality. it felt great to sink into those pillows after a long day.
the lighthouse bar was no longer a bar, it had become a function room, i found a notice about this in the lobby. it was annoying because i spent time looking for it on the fifth floor. also, the tv in my room just wouldn't work. i asked several times for it to be fixed, but it never happened, what a pain!

missing bar unattended pool
The Lighthouse Bar no longer exist. I walked around the fifth floor for a while only to discover later that the bar was replaced with a function room, that was quite annoying. The pool area lacked any attentive staff, I had to get my own towels.

the location is central and convenient. the furnishings in the quay room were great quality. i found the decor lovely and the room was roomy.
The lighthouse bar is advertised, but it is no longer a bar. it has been turned into a function room. the hotel seemed like it was resting on its laurels. It needs addressing.

charming gentleman good pool
The breakfast buffet included multinational choices. The swimming pool was located on the 2nd floor AND was good. I always found a sun lounger there. The gentleman running the pool facilities was charming and very helpful.
The hotel advertises a lighthouse bar on the fifth floor though it is now a function room.

really good stay!
convenient location great attention excellent view
i thoroughly enjoyed the convenient location of the gym. it features treadmills, stationary bikes, and nautilus equipment. the staff paid great attention to detail throughout my stay. the swimming pool provided an excellent view of the downtown area.
the lighthouse bar was advertised, but it was converted into a function room. i spent time trying to locate it. a small notice in the lobby indicated this change.
