About the Hotel

1625 Post St, San Francisco, California, United States, 94115

Hotel Kabuki, Part Of Jdv By Hyatt, a 4-star property tucked neatly into San Francisco's Japantown, where visitors stroll like locals and discover the charms of authentic Japanese culture, restaurants and shops.

Modern Room Features

Rooms at Hotel Kabuki, part of JdV by Hyatt, offer a flat-screen Smart HDTV with streaming apps, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, guest robes and boutique bath amenities. Natural light spills in from floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase spectacular views of San Francisco's city center to the east or the Twin Peaks ushering in Karl to the west.

Japanese-Inspired Bar

The Bar, located in the Hotel Kabuki's magnificent lobby, offers everything from alcoholic to low- or nonalcoholic craft cocktails and an extensive selection of Japanese whiskey, beer and wine. The Bar at Hotel Kabuki celebrates Japan's dedication to the art of fermentation and distillation with a spirits menu that shines a light on Japanese whisky, sake, and Japanese beers.

Fitness and Dining

Experience indoor cycling at its best on our Peloton bike, which energizes your workouts with different themes, difficulty levels and music genres. This spacious ramen spot features ramen that's been extracted from around 24 ounces of pork bone that's been boiling for over 20 hours to make their rich, hearty broth.

Prime Japantown Location

Hotel Kabuki is located in the heart of it all, one of the best places to stay in San Francisco, and most certainly in Japantown. Japantown is home to countless ramen and udon eateries, sushi restaurants and sweet shops where you can get imported, special treats that Japan is known for.

San Francisco Attractions

Almost 30000 runners take to the streets in July for an inspiring race that guides them along the waterfront to the majestic Golden Gate Bridge, and past some of the most scenic spots in the city. The Conservatory of Flowers is a stunning, white greenhouse and botanical garden that is home to a vast collection of rare and exotic plants in Golden Gate Park.

My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were very clean and spacious, offering lots of storage space, but the thin walls and windows made it noisy from the street and neighboring rooms. The room was large but lacked seating. The service was excellent, with a kind gesture of a complimentary bottle of wine to make up for any disappointment. The location was amazing, close to great shopping and dining options. However, parking was limited to valet or street parking. The dining options were limited, but there were great alternatives nearby within walking distance. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for improvements.

I had a wonderful view out of my room, though paying $600 per night was a bit steep, having paid already $300 per night at another JDV property. The service was out of this world with hand-crafted cocktails and lovely staff. The location in Japantown, SF was perfect for accessing various spots, though I wished for more standing space in the room. The dining was good but only included breakfast without many coffee options. Overall, the experience had some highs and lows, making it a mixed bag.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and nice, but not soundproof from hallway noise. The service was friendly and helpful, except for some instances of unhelpful behavior. The location was convenient for exploring the city, although noise from a nearby business was bothersome. The dining options were limited but good value. Overall, a decent hotel with some minor drawbacks.

My stay at the hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet at a very reasonable price. However, the construction noise in the morning was a bit disturbing. The service was pleasant, and the staff was welcoming and very helpful. The location was amazing, close to many attractions, but could have had more standing space. The dining offerings were healthy but pricey, with limited options. The facilities were well-kept, enhancing my stay.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were clean and bright, but there was a weird smell in the air, and it seemed like they were redesigned on a budget, lacking adequate lighting, drawers, and closets. The old windows and mismatched furniture gave a dated feel to the room.

Rooms

Service

The service was a mix of attentive and stand-offish. While some staff members were excellent, others could have been more welcoming. However, the available services like dry cleaning and housekeeping were commendable.

Dining

The dining experience was pleasant, with a good spread of food. However, it would have been better if certain amenities, like more towels and a tub in standard rooms, were readily available.
Facilities

The facilities provided by the hotel were satisfactory, with notable amenities like dry cleaning and laundry services. However, some improvements could be made to enhance the overall experience.

The hotel had very clean and spacious rooms with lots of storage space, but the inconvenience of not having bottled water readily available was a downside. The service was attentive and friendly, though the unfriendliness we encountered during luggage handling was a disappointment. The location was fantastic, with easy access to historic Japantown and other attractions. The dining options were a bit pricey but found good alternatives nearby.
