the soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion had very nice scents. disposable slippers were available and clean. the towels felt nice and thick, i appreciated the wonderful lighting in both the bathroom and main room. the hotel concierge team was helpful and professional. the room feature absolute silence and cleanliness. wonderfully light feather down duvets are warm and comfy.
the hotel has some stairs that are steep.

the hotel location offer picturesque views and quiet surroundings. it is conveniently located near various restaurants and shops. the central train station is within a 20 minute walk, i love the location.

Mixed Experience Due to Parking and Room Issues

The lack of available parking was a significant problem. This resulted in substantial unexpected expenses for external parking. the room showed signs of wear and tear and was not as well-kept as expected.

the front desk staff was very accommodating. the hotel location is excellent for walking to landmarks. breakfast had a great choice of pastries (i loved the croissants). pre-dinner cocktails in the library bar are a must.
the room was cold. it was sold as a triple room but was a double room plus a sofa bed. other furniture was not removed, so it felt crowded. (this was a bit disappointing).

The hotel had a superb location. i could walk to most landmarks easily. the room featured beautiful artwork and canal views. I also enjoyed the library bar in the evenings! breakfast was available with many choices.
