the reception staff provided excellent service, including chris. he was very informative and helpful . the building is beautiful and has a lovely georgian library. breakfast offered a large range of cooked options and was fantastic.
my bland double bedroom had only one chair and no curtains. the blind allowed sunlight to enter the room. there were only two teabags and no milk available initially.

the breakfast offered a delicious variety of choices. i also found the shower to be excellent, with plentiful hot water. the building itself had a beautiful, historic charm that i really liked.

I noticed the television remote lacked responsiveness. the gym equipment was outdated. the breakfast selection seemed limited. I would have liked a wider variety of options.

The location was great. it was in a quiet area within a short walk to princes street. I could easily reach the city centre. our room was clean and warm, i even saw the castle in the distance!
The room was too dark though not enough lights were available. the bathroom was scruffy in places. I noticed it needs some maintenance.
