About the Hotel

225 East Bay Street, Savannah, Georgia, United States, 31401

East Bay Inn, Historic Inns Of Savannah Collection is a 3-star beautifully restored boutique hotel in Downtown Savannah, offering cobblestoned squares and parks such as Forsyth Park shaded by oak trees covered with Spanish moss. The inn has its own place in the city's spooky folklore thanks to a ghost affectionately named Charlie by staff.

Pet-Friendly Accommodations

All rooms at East Bay Inn feature elevator access, individual climate controls, private baths, CD players, in-room safes, and soft robes. Several guest rooms are dedicated to travelers with pets, including the Patio Queen and Patio King Suite for private outdoor patio access.

Southern Dining Options

Debi's Restaurant on Bay serves delicious Southern-style meals, with menu items ranging from fried chicken to egg salad sandwiches. The restaurant is adjacent to Tandem Coffee & Spirits, an amazing bar filled with friendly faces and excellent drinks that shines as one of Savannah's favorite neighborhood bars.

Historic Building Features

East Bay Inn, Historic Inns Of Savannah Collection hosts a reception that serves wine, cheese, and hors d'oeuvres. The inn's first floor features a façade made entirely of cast iron, while the building maintains its historical character with 16-foot ceilings in select suites.

Prime Downtown Location

East Bay Inn is within walking distance of nearly all of Savannah's major attractions including River Street, the city's center of commerce in the late 1800s. The inn is a short drive from the beaches of Tybee Island and provides easy access to Savannah's historic attractions.

I felt transported to a different time at this charming hotel with its historic ambiance. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-stocked, creating a cozy retreat. The service was exceptional, with friendly and caring staff eager to share local stories and ensure a top-notch stay. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to the riverwalk and nearby attractions in the Savannah historic district. While the dining experience offered good food, the standard fare was on par with nearby breakfast spots. Overall, a delightful stay blending comfort with history.

The hotel had lovely and spacious rooms with comfortable four-poster beds, though it was a bit noisy for a light sleeper like me. The location was perfect for exploring the historic district and the riverfront; however, the dining options were limited and not very appealing.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable with antique decor, but they were very hot, noisy, and bright. The small size was a bit of a downside. The service was perfectly fine, and the staff, especially Sheilea, Melvin, and Steve, were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for exploring the area on foot, close to many attractions, but it could get a bit loud being close to River St and Downtown. The dining experience was sufficient but not outstanding, and the price was reasonable for what was offered.
