The location was central. It was a short walk to the Rijksmuseum. The staff provided luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. This helped a lot. The room included both a tub and a rainfall shower, which I found exciting!!!

a jewel in the museum district!

I adored the hotel's proximity to major museums. It was a short walk to the van gogh museum and the rijksmuseum. the front desk service was stellar. They stored our luggage before check-in and had it waiting in our room later. it was all pure magic.
I found the lighting in the bathroom quite insufficient. It made it difficult to move around safely, especially near the bath. this is definitely something i hope gets addressed . It's a small fix with a big impact.

mixed feelings about the stay
good locationchemical smellbasement dungeon
the location, i guess, was fine. it was close to a tram line.
the room itself was just not good. i stayed in the basement and it seemed like a dungeon. there was also a chemical smell that lingered, it was pretty intense and weird.

condescending receptionistmissing washcloths
i had some issues . the night receptionist was quite condescending, especially when i asked how to dial the front desk. she mentioned the instruction was on the back of the map, assuming i would know that instinctively.. also, i requested wash cloths but was told they don't provide them, claiming it is not a european practice. i eventually had to buy my own.

i found the location convenient for accessing museums and public transport. the staff exhibited consistent professionalism and politeness. the room provided ample space and included a very comfortable bed i could relax on after long days.
i noticed the absence of washcloths and learned they are not typically provided i bought some at a local supermarket.
