Langshott Manor is often chosen for special events, with the Mulberry Restaurant being a popular spot, accommodating groups of around 30-40 people. The hotel is noted for its proximity to Gatwick Airport. Many appreciate the large, comfortable rooms, sometimes located in separate buildings, featuring king-size beds, coffee machines, sofas and well-equipped bathrooms; some guests have, however, found certain rooms a little warm. The breakfast is generally regarded as delicious and plentiful.

a getaway of romance

convenient locationbeautiful gardensfestive decorationskind staff
The hotel's proximity to the airport (just seven minutes) was convenient. I adored the beautiful gardens and festive Christmas decorations. Natalie from Guest Services and the reservation team were wonderful. I received a free room upgrade and assistance with taxi arrangements during the storm.
The bar seemed a bit quiet. There was no dedicated barman present at the time.
Dining
9/10
I savored a lovely light supper and drinks at the bar upon arrival. The chef accommodated my vegan requests without issue. The meal was delicious, i enjoyed the garden view during my dinner.
Rooms
9/10
My cosy double room was well-appointed and spacious. I appreciated the blackout curtains; they ensured a restful night. The room was very quiet, which allowed for undisturbed sleep (I really value quietness).
Service
10/10
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Rebecca offered a warm and cheerful welcome upon my arrival. I especially appreciated the warm greetings during a storm, as well as the taxi arrangements.

The hotel's location is quite convenient; it is near the airport and a golf course. A local pub with great food is also nearby. The hotel is a short drive from Gatwick Arrivals.

underwhelming experience overall

friendly staffdry sandwichesservice charge
the staff were friendly and helpful , attentive without being overbearing , a nice balance.
i have to say for the price of the afternoon tea it was quite disappointing , the sandwiches were dry , and the lemon and poppyseed cake was very dense and bland. the whole lot just wasn't very inspiring. i was like you were very much paying for the surroundings not for the quality of the food. also , i did not appreciate the service charge that was automatically added to my bill.

I found the main building beautiful and the garden very well kept. the hotel definitely has character. I particularly appreciated the elizabethan features. the staff was cute, a definite plus. i hope to return in the future.
The sound proofing in my room was not great. i could hear every car rumble past on the gravel roadway. It was quite distracting.

the staff were very welcoming and helpful; they were always available. rebecca greeted us very cheerfully and kindly, ensuring our stay was a dream. their professional approach aimed to provide the best experience possible; it was admirable.

the valentine tasting menu was sensational. the food was good and served nicely. breakfast the following morning was less than you would experience at a holiday inn express! evening meal finished early because the chef was leaving.
Rooms

my room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom included both a shower and a bath! high-end toiletries were provided. the room was warm, as was the bathroom. an iron and ironing board in the room were a plus.

The grounds were well-kept.
The breakfast service was not good. Filter coffee was the only option initially, though lattes were available on previous visits. The poached eggs took 40 minutes and were hard boiled. Hot food and jam were missing from the buffet.
