Many guests appreciate the Novotel Birmingham Centre's excellent location, especially its proximity to the Utilita Arena and attractions like the Sealife Centre and Lego Discovery Centre. The rooms are often described as spacious, and some guests have enjoyed upgrades to suites, although a few have noted minor issues like dust or stained furniture. Guests find the breakfast area very spacious and offering a wide selection, and the hotel's convenient situation means there are plenty of nearby options for food and drink, including a Sainsbury's Local right next door for extra bits.

super stay near the arena

perfect location easter decorations lovely staff
The location was perfect for the arena. It's a short walk. i got an upgrade from the booked room, a nice surprise. i really liked the easter decorations throughout the hotel (it added a cheerful touch!). the staff were so lovely and helpful during my entire stay.
The toilet is in a separate small room. It was more like a cupboard, to be honest. it's not the most hygienic setup since you have to move to another room to wash your hands. the sink in the other room was fine, but it felt a bit dated.
Service
10/10
the team provided excellent services, and one lady was especially marvelous . she was very polite and sincere and always checked if i needed anything. for example, she offered refills of hot water and tea bags.
Location
9/10
the hotel is close to the canal, restaurants, and bars, so many options are available nearby. it is also near the arena, awesome for easy access to events. the location is quite central and accessible.
Dining

the staff was friendly and efficient. i had a comfortable stay in a clean room! the location was great near the arena. the parking on-site was convenient though tight for larger vehicles.
the shower did not have the best water pressure! it was hard to adjust the water temperature, i reported it to the front desk, but no immediate action was taken .

electric socket bed
the room offered basic facilities including tea and drinks. i found that acceptable.
I was disappointed by the lack of available electric sockets. one next to the bed didn't even work. The only other one was on the opposite side. i certainly hope this can be fixed soon.

convenient location with clean rooms

pleasant smell in-room refrigerator comfortable bed
The reception area had a pleasant smell upon arrival! i appreciated the in-room refrigerator. It was useful. complimentary toiletries were provided, a nice touch. the bed was very comfortable, and i had a very quiet night.
I found it a bit odd that the toilet was separate from the bathroom. the toilet also seemed somewhat dated. This detracted slightly from the overall experience, though the rest of the room was modern.
