The Times Hotel is often praised for its superb location on a quiet street directly by one of Amsterdam's canals, within easy walking distance of Centraal Station and the city center. Many guests appreciate the canal views and find the rooms surprisingly spacious, modern, and clean, with good bathrooms and comfortable beds; plus, the lift is a welcome feature. Some have found the breakfast simple, and the lounge area is more of a waiting space, but overall, guests consider this a good value for money.

brick wallsandpaper towels
The room i booked supposedly had a canal view though it mostly overlooked a brick wall. i guess technically the canal was somewhere over there. the towels reminded me of sandpaper, perhaps they are going for an exfoliating experience? also, the breakfast area was quite cramped. Maneuvering through that space with a plate was a real test of agility.

The staff were very friendly. They accommodated my early arrival! they also allowed me to store my bags for a late departure, which helped a lot. the location was great, and the hotel had everything i needed, like toiletries and a hairdryer.
the carpet on the stairs to my room was a bit dirty. the room had some stains on the ceiling and wall behind the bed! the bathroom floor also needed a better clean.
