Hotel Du Vin Edinburgh is praised for its excellent location, making it easy to explore attractions like the University of Edinburgh and the Greyfriars Kirkyard, all within walking distance. Guests appreciate the beautifully decorated rooms, some offering comfortable beds, and find the bistro's food to be of high quality. While most find the rooms comfortable, a few guests have noted that some rooms can be small relative to the price, or felt the air conditioning wasn't powerful enough.

Acceptable Stay

convenient locationrelaxing loungepre dinner drinkswarm roomsineffective acinsufficient airflow
The location was quite convenient. It was fairly close to the city center (a definite plus for exploring!). The hotel also had a bar where I could get pre-dinner drinks. A lounge was great.
The rooms were quite warm. I do not think the A/C was effective. The windows opened only a little, and the airflow was insufficient. The bedding seemed more suitable for a cold winter night.

the comfy bed with lovely linen was acceptable, i suppose.
I asked for bathrobes but reception said they had none. the walls were also pretty thin. I could hear every flush and footstep all night! it was a tad expensive for such a small room too.
